Shannon Kete serves as chief operating officer for Project Lead The Way (PLTW), which prepares students to be the most innovative leaders in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). PLTW has partnered with over 3,000 schools to provide a rigorous STEM education through an engaging, hands-on curriculum, with emphasis on the development of problem-solving skills and innovative reasoning. Most recently, Kete served as a vice president in the Investment Management Division at Goldman Sachs. During her Residency, Kete served in the Chancellor’s Office for the NYC Department of Education. Prior to joining the Residency, she worked in Investment Banking. Kete holds a bachelor’s degree in Latin American studies and political science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where she was a Morehead Scholar. She also holds a master’s degree in business administration from Harvard Business School. Kete participated in The Broad Residency in Urban Education Cohort 2003, serving her two-year Residency in the New York City Department of Education.
